What is Micro bit?

Microbit is a small computing device which is used for coding .it is a mini computer which has  all the features of a computer and is just handheld  which can be carried everywhere in your pocket.The first microbit was invented by BBC and partners in 2015,honoring the BBCs legacy of computing that stretches back to the original BBC micro computer of the 1980s.The micro bit allows children to learn about how compter works,students can learn about coding, programming , inputs and outputs, computer science and STEM topics

How can you use Micro bit?

Microsoft's MakeCode editor is the perfect way to start coding with the BBC micro:bit. The color-coded blocks allow you to drag and click together bits of code to access all the features of this tiny computer.We can also use the text based coding which is widely used in education with the help of Python Editor.Teachers can do classroom sessions where they can easily share codes and save progress of their classroom.

Different Features of Micro bit

The micro bit  can be used to measure, sense and log data such as light, temperature, sound, movement and magnetism.It is built in a way that has required amount of buttons and LEDs and different pins which have various purposes.Students can start with simple coding such as making a name badge,where we can display our name on the micro bit device through the LEDs on micro bit, students can also measure the temperature with micro bit sensors,they can take the micro bit outside and use it to count steps,birds and more.students can also make makes such as rock paper scissors, coin flipper,crashy bit and a lot of such games which are can learned from the micro  bit website.
